Galwegians Girls tag rugby kicks off!

Galwegians_Tag350Tag rugby for girls kicked off in Glenina over the weekend, and it is hoping to grow over the next few weeks. Wendy Hickey and Emer O’Dowd from the Connacht Branch took the hour long session, and the mini girls couldn’t wait until next week to get stuck into the tag rugby again.
Wendy Hickey, WCRO, is hoping the numbers will increase over the next few weeks. “The whole club’s mini section was away at a blitz in Corinthians on Saturday, so I am hoping when they’re back in Glenina on Saturday, their sisters will be coming out of the car at the same time as the boys to give tag rugby a try. There are other clubs in the province setting up their own girls only section, and we are hoping to run a blitz mid October for all ages”.

Girls only Tag rugby training is from 10-11 am on Saturday mornings in Galwegians RFC. Any queries, please contact Wendy Hickey on 087 276 4810 or [email protected]
