Galwegians U19s bounced back from there defeat in the League Semi-Final last weekend to produce a storming display in the misty surrounds of Ballyhaunis RFC on Sunday.
The early Sunday fog meant a lot of the early play was interrupted with plenty of knock-ons and dropped catches as it took time for the cold hands of both teams to warm up in the artic like conditions. After some fierce early exchanges the power of the Wegians pack eventually applied the pressure to break down the determined defense of the combined Ballyhaunis/Dunmore team to produce 3 first half tries to leave a half-time score of 0-22 to the visitors.
Wegians scored the first of their 4 second half tries direclty from the kick-off but the home team fought back to score a good try of their own. However the handling skills of Wegians came to the fore in and this led to 3 more tries in the second half to leave the final score of 46-5 to the visitors.
