Womens sponsorship launchGalwegians Women’s Rugby is delighted to announce that The Dáil Bar has renewed its sponsorship of the team. Pictured at yesterday’s announcement are (from left to right) The Dáil Bar’s Barry Donovan and Jayne O’Toole with Galwegians players Kate O’Flynn and Mary Healy (with the 2013 RBS Women’s Six Nations trophy), and Galwegians Director of Women’s Rugby Emer O’Dowd.

Women’s Rugby at Galwegians RFC continues to flourish. Following the recent appointment of Connacht’s George Naoupu as head coach, the team has secured continued sponsorship and support from The Dáil Bar for the forthcoming season.

Emer O’Dowd, Director of Women’s Rugby at Galwegians, said:

“Barry and all the staff at The Dáil have been wonderful since we began our association with them a couple of seasons ago, and their support has been instrumental in our progression. On behalf of the girls I am delighted that our partnership will continue and hope that we can celebrate some more silverware in The Dáil at the end of the season.”

And not content with expanding its senior player base, Galwegians RFC has also commenced under-age training sessions from September. More information is available on the club website.

Galwegians Women’s team open their AIL season with an away trip to Stradbrook to face Blackrock RFC this Sunday, 15th September at 1pm.
