The 2013/14 Connacht Heineken Junior Cup Draw is set to take place in Regan’s Bar, Roscommon on Monday 4th November at 7:30pm.

The night of the cup draw continues to be a highlight for the Connacht Club & Community Rugby social calendar and remains a great opportunity for club officials to rub shoulders with their rivals. Every club is hoping to receive the “luck of the draw” but none more so than last year’s winners, Monivea.

The format for the draw remains the same from previous years with all nine Junior 1A teams receiving a bye into round two. Round 1, which is set for the weekend of 23 November, will consist of 5 matches and 2 byes between the Junior 1B and Junior 1C teams.

Eamonn Feely, Connacht Branch President, said: “The current format of the Junior Cup has made it the premier cup competition in the province, so we are really looking forward to the draw this year. I would like to thank Heineken and Pat Maher (Sponsorship & Events Manager- Heineken Ireland) for their continued support and commitment to grass roots rugby in Connacht. Without them, this competition would not have reached its current standard.”

The Connacht Junior Cup is one of the oldest rugby institutions in the province and the continued sponsorship of Heineken remains integral to its growth.
