Huge turnout for Roscommon Blitz

The third  blitz held in the area in the last month was a  great success.The first two blitzes were held in Roscommon V.S..  but this one was held in the village of Creggs  where over 300 people gathered in the local rugby club on a sharp spring day
Schools in attendance were Clontuskert NS  Rahara NS  Knockcrckery NS  Tulsk NS Fuerty NS Creggs NS Tarmon NS  Four mile house NS Ballymurray NS  with 31 teams playing and enjoying touch rugby.

Charlie Couper CRO commented:

“Many thanks to Creggs RfC and all the teachers in the various schools for entering into the play rugby programme.Also to staff members Wendy Hickey and  Conor Galvin  for their help on the day and particularly to Steve Gregory  not just for organising the Blitzes but also for his Trojan work in the schools throughout the year.”
