Connacht Rugby are setting up a collection of unwanted rugby/sports gear for the Kenya Rugby Patrons Society at the Sportsground, Galway.

If you have any unwanted rugby/sports gear and would like to see it go to a very deserving home please bring it into the Sportsground at any stage and drop into the collection box.RugbyPatronsSociety

The Rugby Patrons Society and the Kenya Rugby Union have developed a programme to introduce school children in the 9-16 age groups to rugby. The purpose of the Age Grade Programme is to nurture and identify at an early age, develop rugby skills and prevent an indulgence in drugs or becoming street children.
Clubs and schools across the Province are also setting up collections so if you can’t make it into Galway check with your local rugby club to see if they are participating in the collection, or better still, set up your own collection and we (Connacht Rugby) will try and arrange for it to be picked up!

Our aim is to have the collection completed by the end of August so we can stockpile it here at the Sportsground before transporting it to Dublin where DHL have kindly offered to cover the cost of the Air-Freight from Dublin to Nairobi.

If you need any further information or would like some help setting up a collection in your area please don’t hesitate to contact Luke on 091 561568 or [email protected]
