Launch takes place of Connacht Player Ambassador Programme
Last night over 250 people were in attendance for the launch of the Connacht Player/Club Ambassador Programme for the 2018/19 season.

This programme involves each club in Connacht being paired with two pro players who will act as their ambassadors for the remainder of the campaign. Over the coming months these players will be made available to the clubs for a number of visits, with the club deciding how best to utilise their skills and expertise for those visits.

This is the second year of the Player Ambassador Programme and its aim is to build on the already strong relationships that exist between the pro playing squad and grassroots rugby in the province. Tomorrow (Thursday) will see the players hold their second full squad visit of the season when they travel to Gort RFC to attend a National School Blitz. This follows their trip to Ballina RFC for last July's Summer Camp with a further club visit to be held later in the campaign.

You can check out some of the best pics from the night below as well as the player pairings for each club.
