Connacht u19s traveled to Limerick to play there 2nd interpro in Garryowen RFC. The game was played at a fast pace from the start with both sides playing good attacking rugby. Munster were soaking up good Connacht pressure early on and counter-attacked to score a try after 10mins to leave the score 5 – 0.
connacht regrouped and continued to play there own hardworking continutiy rugby and had Munster under pressure.
A Connacht penalty in the Munster 22 was quickly taken by the clever Callum Boland who caught Munster napping and he passed to the flying Jack Carty who scored in the corner. Callium Boland kicked the conversion to leave the score 7-5
Munster rallyed and Connacht had to defend an conceded a penealty which Munster kicked to leave the score 8-7 at half time to Munster
the second half was nip and tuck untill a sintaliating counter attack from inside the Connacht 22 which involved seveal inierchanges between the backs and forwards resulted in a try for scrum half jack o connell. calium bolland converted. score 14-8 to connacht.
Munster kicked another penently to leave the score 14-11
Munster continued to pressure the Connacht line but a huge defencive effort by Connacht forced a turnover which resulted in the flying Shane Layden sprint in from inside his own 22 to score a fine try.
final score 19-11 to Connacht
This was a huge display from the Connacht lads with all the players and subs havig outstanding games.
