Connacht Rugby is delighted to announce a new partnership with Elverys Sports.

This season Elverys Sports have come on board as the Official Retail Partner of Connacht Rugby and, in addition, will also sponsor the Connacht Schools Cup.

As Official Retail Partner, Elverys Sports will have the widest range of Connacht Rugby merchandise on sale in many stores and supporters can shop the range online and avail of free delivery to any store nationwide. Elverys Sports will retain their presence on the Connacht Rugby kit, with the Elverys logo featuring on the sleeve.

For the first time, Elverys Sports will also sponsor the Connacht Schools Cup. The competition, which has gone from strength to strength in recent years, is due to start in the New Year and now includes the Senior Cup, Senior Development Cup, Junior Cup and Junior Development Cup.

The Connacht Schools Cup has produced professional players such as Robbie Henshaw, Eoin Griffin, Eoin McKeon and Darragh Leader and each year continues to develop players for the next stage of their rugby careers. This year there will be a record number of schools (29) participating in the competition, an increase of five schools from last year.

The draw and launch of the Elverys Connacht Schools Cup competition took place in Elverys Sports, Bridge Street Store in Castlebar last Tuesday evening. There was a great turnout at the event which was attended by the coaches and captains of the participating schools, and representatives from Connacht Rugby, Connacht Rugby Schools Committee and Elverys Sports.

Jimmy Staunton, Chairman of Elverys Sports commented on the sponsorship:
