The Active Coaching Badge for the 2024/25 season has now been launched for Minis and Youth coaches in Connacht.
What is the Active Coach Badge?
A way for coaches to control their own development by attending a mixture of regional workshops and completing online training modules. Workshops are free to attend to all coaches who are coaching in Connacht who have registered for a coaching course on Gainline in the past. Workshops are run by IRFU staff and guest coaches. The Active Coach Badge is designed for coaches who have attended a coaching course but wish to continue their development and grow their knowledge around different aspects of the game.
How can I take part?
Coaches must have completed their appropriate IRFU coaching course and must be registered on gainline. To register on Gainline and/or check your status click

here.
Once registered on gainline, coaches can access the Active Coach Badge 2024/25 and register for the regional workshops that interest them while also completing the online modules. Coaches are advised to register for regional events before attending.
What are the different levels of badges?
There are Bronze, Silver and Gold badges that can be completed. The more online/regional workshops a coach completes, the higher the badge they acquire.
