All you need to know: Connacht v Munster

The beginning of 2024 see's Connacht start off at home in a BKT United Rugby Championship interprovinical derby against Munster at a sold out Sportsground on New Years Day, (3pm k/o).

Here’s everything you need to know ahead of Monday’s game.

When’s the game?

Kick-off is 3pm on Monday 1st January.

What’s the state of play so far?

Connacht suffered a defeat up in Kingspan Stadium to Ulster by one point the last day out. A strong second half performance with tries from Shamus Hurley-Langton and Shayne Bolton wasn't enough to help the western province win the game.

Munster come to Galway on the back of a defeat at home to Leinster. A game played in awful conditions saw the men in blue win 9-3.

There are four points seperating the two teams, Munster on 24pts in 6th place and Connacht on 20pts in 10th.
