This Sunday, 30th March sees an electric double header in Ballina RFC starting with the Bank of Ireland Junior Plate Final at 12:00 PM followed by the Bank of Ireland Junior Cup Final at 3:30 PM.

The Connacht vs Munster match isn't the only excitement happening in Mayo this weekend! Sunday's double header of the coveted Bank of Ireland Junior Plate and Junior Cup Finals in Ballina RFC is sure to be an incredible day of rugby not to be missed. Facing off in the Junior Plate are Creggs RFC 2nds and Castlebar RFC - perhaps a fitting opponent given Saturday's URC clash. Creggs 2nds will kick off the day for the club who see their 1sts in the Cup Final as well. Creggs 2nds started the year off with a tough J1B group, seeing them just fall short in a few of their league matches. However, they completely turned that around in their Junior Plate campaign starting off with a blistering 24-21 win over Corinthians 2nds in their preliminary match. They then went on to beat Corrib in their Quarterfinal and then produced a fantastic 34-24 win against the University of Galway to solidify their spot in the Junior Plate final. Castlebar RFC, after a good league campaign, saw themselves near the top of the J1A League table with 5 wins and 2 losses. They continued in their flying form with a win over their Westport neighbours in their Quarterfinal match. When it came to their Semi-Final, Castlebar then made no mistake in claiming their place in the Junior Plate final with a convincing 41-19 win over the Sligo side. The Bank of Ireland Junior Plate Final is at 12:00 PM on Sun, 30th March in Ballina RFC.

The second final of the day will see a Finals match-up for the ages. Last year's Cup runners up, Dunmore RFC saw themselves into their second ever Junior Cup Final for the club. They will face an impressive Creggs RFC side who are making history for the club with two teams involved in the finals day. The two sides met in Round 3 of the J1A League where Creggs just edged out Dunmore with a 19-14 win. Dunmore finished just below Creggs on the J1A League table, but there wasn't much between the two sides. The final league table saw Creggs claim the J1A League title after a huge upset against Connemara RFC away. In the road to the Junior Cup final, Dunmore produced wins against Castlebar in the round of 16, Ballina in their Quarterfinal and then a 6-3 win in a tight Semi-Final against Connemara. Creggs fended off Corrib in the round of 16, Ballinasloe in their Quarterfinal and then Ballinrobe in a thriller of a Semi-Final where Creggs left Ballinrobe with a 25-17 win and their place in the Final. The historical importance of this match and finals day for both sides will lead to an unforgettable day of rugby for all involved. The Bank of Ireland Junior Cup Final is at 3:30 PM in Ballina RFC and will be live streamed.
