Become a Clan Stand Matchday Steward

With the eagerly anticipated opening of the new Clan Stand, Connacht Rugby is preparing for a new chapter in our matchday experience. With bigger crowds and much improved facilities, we now need your help to make it all happen.

We’re now recruiting matchday stewards to join our dedicated team for the 2025/26 season and beyond. If you enjoy working with people and want to play an important role in supporting your home province, we’d love to hear from you.

Why Become a Steward?

Matchday stewards are at the heart of everything we do on game day. They help ensure supporters enjoy a safe, welcoming and memorable experience from the moment they arrive at Dexcom Stadium. As we prepare to open the new Clan Stand, the need for a greater number of friendly, reliable volunteers is greater than ever.

As a steward, you’ll:

• Be part of one of the most exciting periods in the club’s history
• Meet new people and work as part of a close-knit volunteer team
• Support visiting fans, families and season ticket holders
• Gain valuable experience in crowd management and customer service
• Receive full training and ongoing support from Connacht Rugby staff

What Does the Role Involve?

Stewards assist with a range of duties on matchdays, including:

• Welcoming supporters and directing them to their seats
• Managing access points and helping maintain safe walkways
• Providing information on facilities and matchday operations
• Assisting with emergency procedures if required
• Representing Connacht Rugby with professionalism and pride

Training is provided in advance of your first game, so no previous experience is needed.

Who Can Apply?

We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds, as long as you are:

• 18 or older
• Comfortable being on your feet and working outdoors
• Available for most home fixtures across the season
• Willing to complete matchday steward training

If you have strong communication skills, enjoy helping others, or simply want to support the club in a meaningful way, this is a great opportunity.
