Bolting into action

Shayne Bolton scored his first try of the season last Saturday up in Kingspan Stadium and the Connacht winger will be hoping to add more over the next two weeks before the international break.

It was disappointment on Saturday night in Belfast for Bolton and his Connacht teammates having lost to Ulster 32-27. They left with two bonus points but felt they should have come away with more.

"It was a very quiet dressing room after the full time whistle, probably one of the quietest I've been in'

"We felt we left a few opportunities out there on Saturday that would have gave us a great chance to go on a come away with five points rather than two"

Bolton knows with Leinster coming to Dexcom Stadium that Connacht will need to be ruthless in attack while also not giving their opponents any easy points.

"We know they are a quality side and this season have been impressive with a perfect start but we feel our attack is really firing and can hurt any team"

"Defensively they are very strong so this is the biggest test for us so far and that's a challenge I can't wait for personally"

"With our own defence we know we can't give them anything soft because they will punish any team if you give them the chance"

A big part of Connacht's game on Saturday will be the supporters and the noise they bring adding to the Connacht performance.

"For such a small place you feel there are so many people around with the noise they make. They probably hear that being said a lot but it is true. The energy they bring to us is massive and it is up to us as players to give back by performing"

"As players and as supporters I think we all know its about starting this game well becasue we've seen Leinster cause teams real problems in that opening quarter"
