The Connacht Juniors squad has now been named for the second Junior Interprovincial match of the season against Ulster Rugby this Saturday, 2nd May in Enniskillen RFC at 1:30 PM.
After a brilliant win against Leinster last weekend in Ballyhaunis, the Connacht Juniors are back and ready to face their Ulster counterparts in the second match in the Junior Interprovincial Series of 2026. Looking ahead to the competition and the match this coming Saturday, Head Coach Paddy Pearson has named his match day squad for the clash in Ballyhaunis.
"We were really pleased with the result last weekend, especially given the limited preparation time. It’s given the group great momentum, and we’re looking forward to getting back to work this week to build further and add more layers to our game," says Pearson. "We’re under no illusions about the challenge ahead against the reigning champions in Ulster who are looking for their 3 title in a row, it will be a tough test. That said, there’s a strong belief within the group that we can deliver the result we’re aiming for. I’ve been very impressed with the squad so far. They’ve fully bought into the ethos we’re trying to build, and there’s a real sense that there’s plenty more to come from them".
Fintan Crawley (Ballyhaunis RFC) continues as Captain this week with Calum Quinn (Ballina RFC) and Luke Sweeney (Ballina RFC) as Vice-Captains.
