It has been a busy week at Dexcom Stadium with news announced that Hastings Insurance MacHale Park in Castlebar will be the venue for Connacht's game against Munster in the URC on March 29th and there is a certain interpro derby to look forward to this weekend at Dexcom Stadium to finish 2024.
A new week and a new challenge for all teams, a week that has a slighlty differen schedule for Head Coach Pete Wilkins and his squad.
"We have another big game on Saturday and usually we would be in here at Dexcom Stadium four days during the week but this week is slightly different with it being Christmas"
"We are all in today (Monday) and done our reviews from Saturday's game in Dublin, we will train tomorrow and then the players have two days off for Christmas before we join up for captains run on Friday"
"A slight change to the schedule but am I very happy with it"
"We will get a lot done early on in the week before captains run on Friday and its important for the lads to spend time with their families anf freinds around this time of the year"
It was disappointment last weekend for Connacht after defeat to Leinster in the Aviva Stadium. A game that was going right to the wire until the final moment of the game where Leinster kicked a pentalty to go eight in front. Pete spoke ahead of this Saturday.
"It's a huge game this weekend"
"We put in a really good performance against Leinster despite any reward but we need to take that momentum into this game and produce a performance of the same quality"

Connacht know that Ulster are coming to Dexcom Stadium hurting from their own loss last weekend and looking to end their year on a high. Wilkins spoke about the confidence he has in his squad and how their second half performance on Saturday was a level they need to maintain and better.
"Ulster have come to Dexcom Stadium in recent years with real fire in their belly"
"A few things might nto have clicked for them against Munster but their intensity level was as good as I have seen for some time"
"We will need to be at the level which we were in that second half against Leinster, we can't let our execution of accuracy drop"
