Ahead of Saturday's game away to Dragons at Rodney Parade, Connacht Rugby Head Coach, Pete Wilkins gave a squad update.
"Nothing of major concern after the Zebre game" said Wilkins
"JJ Hanrahan came off with a soreness in the hamstring but its nothing to be too concerned about"
"I think it is more cramp related so he should be good to go"
Club Captain Jack Carty is already ruled out for this weekend after picking up a hamstring injury in the win over Pau.
"It was a mild hamstring injury that he picked up, it's not severe at all we just want to make sure he is 100% fit and that we don't rush him where it could be a longer period out"
"He will miss Dragons but I expect him to be back for Munster"
Two players who are close to returns are Mack Hansen and Byron Ralston.
"I know we mentioned Mack and Byron could be back for this meeting with the Dragons but it will be another game before they are available"
"We just want to make sure they have the base level of fitness and are setup to perform before they make they're return"
"Outside of that we have a clean bill of health"
One man that is progressing nicely as he continues his recovery is Santi Cordero. The Argentinian international has been out for eight months with a serious knee injury.
"This week he will be involved with some of the team training which is fantastic for him and us"
"Santi is tracking well and I think there is a best case scenario where he could be involved in is the Stormers and Leinster games"
"We will keep processing what he's doing week to week"
