How has pre-season training been going?
"It has been really positive, I think we learned some valuable lessons from last season and obviously tried to play at a high intensity over the last couple of years and exploring ways we can get that through the rugby and strength and conditioning"
"It has been exciting and positive seeing the new players come in along with new faces in the management set up so we've had a good mix and we're happy where were at so far"
With today's match against Castres Olympique what are the team and management looking to get from this challenge?
"This is a really exciting week for us, we have Castres today and then Sale on Friday in Athlone and the great thing about that for us as coaches is getting to see so many players get minutes on the pitch"
"What we're looking for from them is to show us what they've absorbed from this pre-season so far and that they have an understanding of how we want to play the game this year"
"On the back of that we want to see them rip in and take the game to the French at a high tempo and show us what they've got"
Kick-off in Castres is 7pm (Irish time) where you will be updated by Connacht Rugby's twitter page @connachtrugby
