Powers, one of Ireland’s oldest and most renowned whiskeys, has today announced it will renew its role as Official Whiskey Partner with Connacht Rugby for a further year.
With over 350 years of combined heritage, the collaboration unites two of Ireland’s most historic and beloved brands, who both represent Ireland on the international stage.
Powers first partnered with Connacht Rugby in 2015 and has been bringing its pop-up tavern and famous hot toddy to the Sportsgrounds ever since.
Speaking at the announcement Claire Tolan, Managing Director, Ireland at Irish Distillers, said; “We’re delighted to renew our partnership with Connacht Rugby for a further year. Powers Irish whiskey was built on a pioneering spirit – something we feel very much aligns with the ethos of Connacht Rugby and its fans – who we know will embrace the dynamic and modern look of our new Powers bottle. We have exciting, bold plans to bring the partnership to life virtually in the year ahead, as we eagerly wait for crowds and our hot pour to return to the Sportsgrounds when it’s safe to do so.”
