Ireland internationals Kieran Marmion, Tiernan O’Halloran, Finlay Bealham and Dave Heffernan – who all featured for Ireland in the USA and Japan tour in June – returned to training after four weeks of recuperation.
Fiji international Naulia Dawai will return to training shortly having featured for Fiji on their summer tour that included a 27-22 victory over Scotland.
Along with a vigorous pre-season training programme on the pitch and in the gym, the squad have been visiting clubs across the province over the past four weeks.
40 squad members have been out to see the young players in our Summer and Excellence Camps in Galwegians, Ballinasloe, NUIG RFC, Sligo, Corrib, Carrick on Shannon, Loughrea, Castlebar, Gort, Westport, Monivea and Dunmore.
This week, 17 players were delighted to ring Season Ticket holders to say thanks for the support, safe to say the supporters appreciated the calls (see fan reaction below).
Following the launch of our new home kit last week, in association with BLK and Elverys Intersport, John Muldoon, Ultan DIllane and Bundee Aki visited fans the Corbett Court Elvery’s store.
Yesterday also saw the photoshoot for the new kit take place with the away and European jerseys to be launched next month.
While we await the fixture list for next season, two fixtures that have been confirmed are the pre-season clashes away to Wasps and at home against Bristol on Saturday, August 26, at 3pm. Tickets start from just €5 with entry free for Season Ticket holders.
