SAFE Rugby Level 2 training day to take place next week
On Saturday 7th September, The Sportsground will host a SAFE Rugby Level 2 training day, which is a one-day course for medical and allied health professionals working or volunteering within the domestic game.
The SAFE (Standard Approach to Field Emergencies) Rugby programme aims to provide rugby specific, pitch-side emergency care training and skills to medical staff and non-medical individuals involved at all levels in Irish rugby.
The Level 2 course is ideal for those general practitioners, nurses, physiotherapists and other health professionals who provide their services to club and school teams.
This course will include certification from the Irish Heart Foundation in Basic Life Support and the use of an AED, as well as discussing the most up-to-date concussion management policies.
IRFU Level 2 and 3 courses are recognised for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits.
All levels have pre-course online modules that must be completed before the training day.
To register your club/team doctor and/or physio for this course, please email Shane Mooney ( before Friday 30th August at 5.00pm.
