Connacht Rugby U18 Girl's head coach Claire Coghlan has named her match day squad for tomorrow’s PwC U18 Interprovincial Championship Round 3 match against Munster at Dexcom Stadium (k/o 1.30pm)
The Connacht U18 Girls will face Munster in their first ever Interpro match in Dexcom Stadium on what will be a historic double-header for Women's rugby in the province.
Captain Kitty Sweeney will once again lead out the side at scrum-half, which has a blend of youth and experience across the starting XV.
Buccaneers' Sally Fleming remains at out-half with Westport's Ruth Conway and Ballinasloe's Esther Albert paired together at centre. The back three is formed by Anna Cooley (Gort/Monivea RFC) and Leah McNamara (Westport RFC) on the wings with Niamh Gannon (Tuam/Oughterard RFC) returning in at full back.
In the pack, it's Orla Palasz (Westport RFC) alongside Rhea Sestak (Loughrea RFC) and Isabella Garvey (Sligo Rugby) in the back row. Anna Murphy (Castlebar RFC) is off the bench in the second row alongside Aoibhinn Lyons (Westport RFC), while the front row consists of hooker Losalia Atonio (Tuam/Ougherard RFC) starting with props Róise Ní Scanláin (Tuam/Oughterard RFC) and Cairínn Kearns (Gort/Monivea RFC).
Head Coach Claire Coghlan says ahead of tomorrow's match:
"We've waited a long time to play at home so everyone is just really excited to get going. Competition for places has been really tight and really fierce and everyone is putting their hand up and giving us loads of headaches[...] It means a lot [to play at Dexcom Stadium - we've obviously trained here all summer which has been amazing but you're looking at the stand every week and it's empty so we're looking forward to seeing a few friendly faces in the stand and then getting in to see the Seniors after is great for the girls. They get to look up to hopefully where they'll get to one day so it means a lot".
