Team Announcement: RC Vannes v Connacht

Connacht Rugby head coach Stuart Lancaster has named a 28-man squad for tomorrow's pre-season friendly outing against RC Vannes in France (k/o 6pm Irish time, 7pm local time).

Long-term injury absentees Mack Hansen and Byron Ralston are both named in the starting XV, while the extended replacements includes new signings Jerry Cahir and Thomas Connolly. There's also plenty of Academy players looking to impress off the bench, including David Walsh, Max Flynn, Bobby Power, Sean Walsh, Daniel Ryan and Albert Lindner.

The squad arrived on the French west coast on Monday and have used the opportunity to continue preparations for the first game of the season against Stormers on 25th September.

The travelling squad return to Connacht on Saturday, when they will then look ahead to the visit of Ealing Trailfinders to Dexcom Stadium next weekend. Tickets are on sale now at connachtrugby.ie.
