Tom Daly: Connacht looking to cause a storm
This Saturday Connacht take on the defending BKT United Rugby Championship champions DHL Stormers at the Danie Craven Stadium (k/o 1.30pm Irish time).

It's a challenge every Connacht player is looking forward to, and a chance to improve on last Saturday's defeat away to Ulster in the opening round. Tom Daly spoke about last weekends game up in Belfast.

"It was a very disappointing performance and result"

"When the fixtures came out half way through the summer and we saw it was Ulster up first we were excited because we've had some good battles over the years with them"

"As a group we had a good look back at the game on Sunday and a lot of it is easy fixes"

"There was a five to ten minute period after half time where we gave away a lot of silly penalties and that was kind of the winning and losing of the game as they punished us for our sloppy mistakes"

For the next two weeks the players will get to spend more time together than any other period of the season while they stay in South Africa. Daly feels its a great time for the players to gel more while on this tour.

"These trips are good ones to be selected for as you are excited to play these South African teams who bring something different and new challenges"

"Its good that we have this trip at the start of the year as its a good team bonding period as you are with the team 24/7"

The Connacht attack didn't flow the way it would like against Ulster so what will have to change this weekend?

"I think when we got into the Ulster half we just didn't look after the ball the way we should have" said Daly

"We want a reaction after last Saturday and this is the ideal game"

"Its a huge challenge coming up against the champions even without their Springboks players but we know we can win down there as we've done it before"

The Connacht team for Saturday will be announced tomorrow at midday
