Wilkins looks to attack from the start against Leinster

This Saturday at Dexcom Stadium Connacht welcome Leinster to town in round 5 of the BKT URC.

It will be Connacht's third interpro this season but their first at home having played Munster and Ulster away in Thomond Park and Kingspan Stadium.

While the result from those two games didn't go the way of the men in green, four bonus points in total were picked up. Five tries against Munster and four last weekend against Ulster helped add to the bonus points which has Connacht 5th in the standing of the URC.

Crucial points to have further into the season. The Connacht attack has caught the eyes of so many rugby people from their opening five games and how dangerous it has been. Head coach Pete Wilkins knows their attack will need to raise their level again for the meeting of Leinster.

"We are scoring points and getting bonus points that we wouldn't have got last season and we know that any game against Leinster you will need to score plenty to get a result"

Coming away from the four games played the style of which Connacht are playing has been described as exciting to watch which Pete Wilkins gave his thoughts about and if he was happy with that reputation.

"It is a reputation I am happy for Connacht to have and I think there are two reasons for that"

"With the players we have it is the best formula for success and us to play at our best"

"The second is about staying true to the ethos of the club and what the place is about"

Leinster come to Dexcom Stadium having won their first four game, all with a bonus point win. Wilkins feels

"We've got to fire some shots at them"

"We have to be really positive and we have to have be on the front foot with everything we do"

"We know with Leinster the early quarter of games is big for them and we have to be ready for that. They go after points early"
