Connacht Rugby’s Club & Community game have announced Rhino as their official matchball supplier for all Connacht Rugby Junior, Youth and Schools matches.

OLBC v Ballinasloe 350This new venture will see Rhino supply matchballs to Connacht clubs and schools at an exceptionally good rate and is the first of its kind in the province. The dual aim of the initiative is to provide a standardised  ball for all competitions for consistency and to enable clubs and schools to purchase quality matchballs for at a very competitive rate.

Speaking about the deal Domestic Rugby Manager, Lyndon Jones said:

“We’re very happy to be able to offer such high quality matchballs at such competitive rates. The Rhino Vortex Pro is the same ball that’s used across the RaboDirect PRO12 so we’re dealing with a product that already has proven international pedigree. We’re all aware of the difference a decent ball can make, especially when kicking and we see this as a big step towards improving the standard of rugby across all levels of the game in Connacht. If players are playing with the same ball, be it at schools, youths or adult level, and they are familiar with the handling of the ball regardless of the competition, then standards can only improve across the board.”

Catalogues and pricelists have been sent to each club and school in the province and for extra copies please contact Luke Murphy: [email protected]
