ABOUT LACHLAN'S JOURNEY
Lachlan's Journey is a 270km walk from Lyndon's home in Westport to Temple Street Children's Hospital in Dublin.
Lyndon will be joined by his brother-in-law Cathal for the full journey, while his wife Michelle and other family and friends will join them along the way.
This very special walk is in memory of Lyndon's son, Lachlan who sadly passed away earlier this year at just 12 weeks old.
Lachlan spent his short and meaningful life in the incredible care of the teams at the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit and the High Dependency Unit in St Michael's B Ward at Temple Street Children's Hospital.
During that time, Lyndon and his family were lucky to stay at Hugh's House, a charity that provides accommodation for families with seriously ill children receiving treatment in The Rotunda, The Coombe, Holles Street and Temple Street Hospitals.
They are taking on this walk to raise funds for both the Children’s Health Foundation and Hugh's House, so other families can receive the same care and support they did. This fundraiser is their way of honouring Lachlan’s memory and giving something back to those who helped them through the hardest time of their lives.
