Squad to visit Erris RFC as part of Mayo camp
Erris RFC in Co. Mayo will host the Connacht Rugby senior squad for a family fun day this Sunday August 23rd from 1:30pm. The club visit will kick start a five-day training camp for Pat Lam’s men in the picturesque town of Belmullet as they prepare for the official start of the 2015/16 season.

Supporters, young and old, are invited to the Kilmore Community Pitch, Drum on Sunday to meet the players for fun interactive games and skills’ sessions. There will also be an opportunity for photos and autographs will all the players.

The club visit is part of Connacht Rugby’s commitment to bring the professional squad to as many corners of the province as possible and follows on from other recent visits to Mayo clubs Westport, Castlebar and Ballinrobe RFC.

Speaking ahead of the trip, Connacht team manager Tim Allnutt said:

“On the back of the success of last season’s club visits around the province, it’s great to be able to launch our new season in Mayo where we’ll be spending five days together as a squad.  

“The management and players are really looking forward to the open day at Erris on Sunday where we’ll have a chance to meet all our young supporters and their parents.”
