Following Friday’s disappointing loss to league-leaders Ospreys, Connacht Rugby now face into a three-week break in games until round 8 of the GUINNESS PRO12 at home to Zebre (Friday November 21st, KO 19:35).

Pat Lam’s men, currently in 6th place on the league table, have a week’s holiday before they return to the Sportsground for training on Monday November 10th.

The medical team reported injuries to two players following the defeat at Liberty Stadium. Wing Niyi Adeolokun, who celebrated his 24th birthday yesterday, suffered an ankle sprain and is likely to be out of action for up to three weeks. Also off his feet this week is number 8 George Naoupu. The 31-year-old sustained a foot strain but is expected to return to full training the week of the Zebre game.

The following players are also earmarked for a return to training in advance of the next game with Zebre: Ronan Loughney (ankle), Finlay Bealham (foot), Mata Fifita (heel), Tiernan O’Halloran (knee) and Miah Nikora (shoulder).

Lock Aly Muldowney, who missed last week’s clash with Ospreys due to concussion, has followed the return-to-play protocols and is now available to play.

All Black centurion Mils Muliaina remains on course to make his Connacht debut in November with the New Zealander expected to resume full contact training next week.

Finally, front row forward Tom McCartney arrives in Galway this week to complete Pat Lam’s playing squad for 2014/15. Details on his expected playing debut will be confirmed in the coming days

Tickets for Connacht’s next game at home to Zebre are on sale now from, from Centre & SuperValu stores province-wide and from the Connacht Rugby office at the Sportsground.
