Squad Update - Marmion ruled out until February
A squad of 25 players are in South Africa ahead of back to back Pro14 games against the Southern Kings and the Cheetahs. The squad flew from Dublin on Sunday morning to their training base in Cape Town where they will be based for the next two weeks.

The Connacht medical staff have issued updates on a number of players, some of whom were unable to travel to South Africa. The update includes the news that Kieran Marmion requires surgery that will leave him unavailable for selection until February.

Medical Report

Returning players
Paul Boyle (shoulder), Cillian Gallagher (head), Matt Healy (foot), David Heffernan (ankle), Eoghan Masterson (thumb) and Peter McCabe (head) have all returned to full team training. Boyle, Healy and Mccabe have all travelled as part of the squad to South Africa.


Injured players

Kieran Marmion will undergo surgery this week on an ankle injury and will be out of action until February.

Conan O'Donnell has undergone surgery on a hand injury he sustained in the Dragons game and will be out of action until December.

There are no new updates on Eoin McKeon (shoulder), Craig Ronaldson (knee) and Conor McKeon (shoulder) all of whom are on the longer term injury list.
