Connacht’s Michael Swift will earn his 250th cap for the province when he lines out against Scarlets at the Sportsground tomorrow, the first player in Connacht’s history to reach this impressive milestone.

Already the Celtic league’s most capped player “Swifty” continues to impress on the pitch, fourteen seasons into his Connacht career. Tomorrow, he will wear the number 4 jersey for his ninth start of the season.

At the end of the 2012/13 season, he was presented with the RaboDirect PRO12 Chairman’s Award in recognition of his outstanding service to both his province and the tournament as a whole.

As club captains for 2013 /14, the 6’5”, 119kg second row shows no sign of slowing down and remains a fantastic ambassador for the club.
