Connacht Rugby are delighted to announce that Red Bull will continue as the club’s Official Energy Drink Partner for the 2020/21 season.
 
This partnership will support Connacht Rugby in reaching their peak performance, providing players and coaching staff with Red Bull products and equipment during training and major tournaments, as well as access to world class tools and facilities including sharing of knowledge and expertise from Red Bull’s global network of experts and it’s state of the art Athlete Performance centre in Austria.

Connacht Rugby are delighted to announce a three-year partnership with Tribe Hospitality Group who will become Official Catering Partners.
 
The partnership will see Tribe Hospitality deliver individual hot meals to all pro and academy squad members three times a week, working in conjunction with the Connacht Rugby Head of Nutrition and other coaches to provide their nutritional needs across the training week. They will also provide all pre-match and post-match hospitality services on match day.
 
Tribe Hospitality Group are better known by their popular cafes across Galway city including, Ground & Co in Salthill, Baby Ground & Co in Knocknacarra, Mr Waffle in Newcastle, Delight Café on Renmore Avenue and Kingfisher, NUIG and also SAOL Café, NUIG. All shops have now reopened for takeaway and sit-in, with the exception of Delight NUIG and SAOL Café which will reopen at a further date.

Connacht Rugby in partnership with BLK Sport, have revealed their new Away and European jerseys for the 2019/20 season at an exclusive Season Ticket Member event at Elverys Intersport, Galway Retail Park.
 
The new jerseys are made in BLK’s new 2019 template, featuring an updated collar and sleeve detail with BLK’s exclusive Exotek fabric throughout the main body. Exotek was created exclusively by BLK to enhance athlete performance, while maximising player manoeuvrability.
 
The new Away jersey features total diagonal lines and the new Connacht Eagle proudly across the chest and torso, finished with striking fluro green trim and collar detail. The jersey also features a unique silicon gel logo application and fluro green Connacht branding on the lower back.

Connacht Rugby is pleased to announce a new three-year sponsorship with Galway-based sports technology services company Clubforce, funding the development of a player pathway initiative aimed at getting young girls involved in rugby from a young age and improving retention rates as they progress to adulthood.
 
The Clubforce Emerging Talent Programme will see Connacht Rugby work with schools and clubs in the province to foster participation among female participants and to grow the women’s game in the West.
 
As a result of this new partnership, Clubforce will work with Connacht Rugby to promote female participation at grassroots level through the 26 rugby clubs, and contribute to player coaching from minis through to senior women’s teams.
 
Clubforce will also provide clubs with the systems to maximise participation, and train them to report on member retention and pre-empt common drop-off rates.
 
This co-operation between Connacht Rugby and Clubforce will ultimately aim to bring the growing female rugby participation at all levels closer to their male counterparts.
 

At the launch, Connacht & Ireland out-half Nicole Fowley said the Clubforce Emerging Talent Programme is a welcome development providing new opportunities for girls interested in rugby west of the Shannon.
 
“The growth of women’s rugby in the last number of years in Ireland is testament to initiatives like this. As a young girl rugby was never really an option but nowadays thanks to partnerships like these, girls are getting a chance to start rugby much younger and have a clear pathway to follow which can lead them all the way to the top. It’s exciting and I’m looking forward to seeing the future stars growing from grassroots to green shirts.”

We are currently in the process of recruiting a Ticketing and Sales Manager to join the expanded commercial and marketing team. The new position is one of a number of new jobs created in the province since the start of the season.

 

The Ticketing and Sales Manager is a full-time, fixed-term position based at Connacht Rugby in Galway.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading ticketing and sales revenue lines and will report directly to the Head of Commercial and Marketing.

 

“We are in a really exciting phase of restructuring and expanding the commercial and marketing team in Connacht Rugby,” said Connacht Rugby’s Head of Commercial and Marketing, Brian Mahony.

“Since the start of the season we have advertised for three new positions in the team and we have been delighted with the high calibre of candidates we have attracted so far. We are now looking to recruit a suitable candidate to fill the important position of Ticketing and Sales Manager.”

“The ideal candidate will have a track record and experience in ticketing, sales and business development-based roles. They will need to possess a fastidious attention to detail and be technically minded.”

“Importantly, they will also need to have sales in their DNA and be comfortable selling face to face and over the phone. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to work in professional sport and has a genuine passion and interest in what Connacht Rugby is about,” he added.
