Connacht Rugby has today announced its partnership with Fastway, Ireland’s leading independent delivery network, as the Official Delivery Partner for the 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons.
 
The partnership will see Fastway deliver specialised and tailored delivery solutions for Connacht Rugby over a two-year period.

The timing of the partnership with Connacht Rugby comes at a very exciting time for Fastway, as it celebrates 20 years in the Irish market and aligns with a major business transformation programme.

As part of an exciting expansion of our Commercial & Marketing team, Connacht Rugby can announce that applications are open for four new roles in the department.
 
The jobs are primarily in the field of Marketing and Communications, and will result in a significant extension of our digital media presence.
 
The club are currently in the process of recruiting a new Senior Marketing Manager who will oversee the Connacht Rugby brand and help to drive the next stage of its development.
 
The Communications team is also expanding with two new Social & Communications Executive positions, to be filled in the coming weeks. One of these roles will be a full-time role to work on the promotion of Pro team activities, with a second employee working solely on Club & Community content and promotion and shining a light on the fantastic work happening in the four corners of the five counties every day.
 
Connacht are also recruiting for a new Content Marketing Executive, who will work primarily as the club’s first in-house videographer as well as graphic designer. This person will have a flair for filmmaking and will oversee the development and launch of our TikTok channel and provide engaging content for all of our social platforms.

Connacht Rugby is pleased to announce a long-term extension of our partnership with HEINEKEN Ireland as Official Pourage and Sponsorship Partners.
 
The two organisations have worked closely together over the last number of seasons to enhance the match day experience at the Sportsground, collaborating on the popular Clan Bar and Heineken® Clubhouse. Among the plans in place for the coming season are exclusive behind-the-scenes tours on Heineken® Champions Cup match-days, including a commemorative coin-toss with both captains. The extension of this long-standing relationship comes ahead of an exciting period of development for Connacht Rugby and together with Heineken®, the club looks forward to sharing the journey on and off the field with supporters.

Connacht Rugby are delighted to announce an extension of their partnership with Bank of Ireland.

The partnership will continue to see the Bank of Ireland logo on the back of the senior men’s and women’s Connacht jerseys, whilst also being extended to deliver significant support for the expanding youth and adult club competitions within the province.

Connacht Rugby are pleased to announce the appointment of Philip Patterson to the role of Head of Commercial & Marketing at Connacht Rugby.
 
Patterson, who is originally from the UK and has family roots in Co. Mayo, joins Connacht following over 20 years’ experience in the Marketing industry where he has created and implemented successful marketing strategies for many high-profile global brands.
 
He joins Connacht Rugby having spent time in the world of Marketing Consulting; and has also held the role of Vice President Marketing at Octagon, where he led the teams delivering marketing strategies and campaigns for brands in partnership with organisations such as UEFA, Roland Garros, The Open and Disney. These promotions reached over 50 countries and achieved significant growth for his clients.
 
Previous to this, he held positions as Senior Vice President Marketing at GMR Marketing, Vice President Marketing at IMG; as well as positions at Synergy Sponsorship and Britvic Soft Drinks. During this time, he developed and delivered marketing campaigns for brands at worldwide sporting events including the FIFA World Cup, multiple Olympic Games, Super Bowl, the UEFA European Championships and The Championships, Wimbledon.
 
Philip Patterson has joined Connacht Rugby effective immediately (Monday 5th July).
