The dates and kick-off times for the key European Rugby Challenge Cup Rounds 5 and 6 fixtures were announced by tournament organisers EPCR today.

With a new tournament format which sees five pool winners and three runners-up securing places in the knockout stage, the action in January’s closing rounds promises to be more competitive than ever.

In addition to the third runner-up spot, the top-four ranked clubs will also be looking to book home quarter-finals with the aim of going all the way to the 2015 Challenge Cup final at The Twickenham Stoop on 1 May next.

Round 5 has thrown up its share of crucial matches with the Pool 2 clash of Connacht Rugby and Exeter Chiefs live on Sky Sports at The Sportsground on Sunday, 18 January a contender for top billing.

With both sides on three wins and one loss each, Connacht are hot on the heels just two points behind the Devon side and a home win over the Aviva Premiership side would set the Irish province up nicely in their bid to secure a home quarter final at the Sportsground.

For supporters interested in a trip to France, tournament organisers also confirmed today that Pat Lam’s men will travel to La Rochelle on Saturday, 24 January with an evening kick off of 6:30pm.

Starting at €25 for Adults, tickets for the highly anticipated Sunday afternoon clash between Connacht and Exeter (kick off 3:15pm) are now available to purchase from tickets.ie, the Connacht Rugby office in Galway and Centra and SuperValu stores province-wide.
