Tuam RFC were the recent hosts of the Galway Rugby Contact Blitz. The blitz hosted a mix of teams from the Tuam area as well as some teams from Galway city. Cummer NS, Belclare NS, St Pats NS, Gaelscoil Tuam, Maree NS, Bushy Park NS and St Endas NS all took part on the day.

The day was a huge success with almost 170 boys and girls taking part. Many of the players were new to contact rugby and had recently taken part in an introduction programme with Galway CRO Conor Galvin. The target of this programme is to introduce new players to rugby and many stars of the future may have been on show.

On the day the facilities in Tuam were once again a credit to the club with Tuam RFC members on hand to Referee and Coach the visiting schools.

Thanks to all Referees, Volunteers Teachers and Players  on what was a beautiful day.
