The Connacht Eagles recorded an impressive 36-17 win over a strong Ulster ‘A’ side at Deramore Park, Belfast this evening.

Nigel Carolan’s men scored five tries through Aly Muldowney (2), new Academy recruits Corman Brennan and Ed O’Keeffe (2) who was a replacement on the wing in the second half.

Conor McKeon kicked a penalty and two from three conversions with replacement Aidan Moynihan kicking two conversions in the second half.

Ulster Number 8 Nick Williams opened the scoring for the hosts, with replacement prop Ruaidhri Murphy and winger Rory Scholes getting over in the second half. Academy outhalf Johnny McPhillips kicked the only conversion.

The Eagles are next in action against Munster ‘A’ on Thursday October 22nd at the Sportsground (5pm).
