Youth and Schools Committee’s recognised for services to Connacht Rugby:

Connacht Branch President / Steve Cunningham: “I would like to recognise The Youth and Schools Committees for their continued work in developing Club and Schools Rugby and their successes in preparing players & teams at representative level. Both Johnny Brennan and Paul Cafferkey in particular must be congratulated for their efforts in preparing and organizing competitions and programmes and I am delighted to present the entire committee with this thouroughly deserved award.”

Martin Gallagher – Domestic Rugby Manager: ” I am pleased that we were able to
Acknowledge the work of both Committee’s and particularly the Honorary Secretaries (Paul and Johnny) who coordinate so much of the rugby in the Connacht Branch. They are key volunteers and the amount of work they do is significant – it is fitting that their respective Management Committee’s are recognised for their endeavours

Martin also thanked everyone involved in organising the Defence Workshop with Les Kiss which was held on the same evening at the Sportsgrond:

“It was an excellent turnout for Les’s workshop and that is attributed to the efforts of our schools and club coaches attending, Jimmy Duffy and Eamonn Molloy organizing it all and of course Les making himself available (for which we are delighted and most grateful) to the Branch Domestic Department for the coaching session; I am sure that the coaches will benefit immensely from the information that was shared and that this will be shared with players in the coming weeks. Martin Gallagher – Domestic Rugby Manager.”
