Tom McCartney, Peter Robb and Niyi Adeolokun are all nominated for the Player of the Month Award, in association with Hartmanns of Galway and SEIKO Watches. The trio are highlighted for their performances on and off the field during the month of April and supporters can vote for the player of their choice.

Results-wise, it was a tough month for Pat Lam’s men with late one point defeats at the hands of both Grenoble in the Challenge Cup quarter final in France and Italian side Benetton Treviso in the Guinness PRO12. But a 35 – 14 win over Munster at the Sportsground proved a season highlight.

Niyi Adeolokun, who started all four games last month crossed for a brace of tries in both the Grenoble and Munster games. Tom McCartney, ever present in the front row this season and starting 18 of the 21 games he’s featured in, continued his form in the number 2 shirt. Academy centre Peter Robb brought his cap tally to double figures with three more PRO12 starts and an appearance from the bench in the Challenge Cup quarter final in Grenoble. The 21-year-old scored his first Connacht try in the round 21 game away to Treviso.

Ulster 18 – 10 Connacht
