Youths Committee secretary Johnny Brennan ran proceedings, his midnight toil Sunday evening wrestling with floating byes, seeded teams, and A and B club complements ensured Monday went without a hitch. 

launch5_473x640Aside from several club managers from around Galway, Mayo and Sligo, about a dozen youngsters, Connacht Branch staff and officials, and Academy players Kevin O’Byrne, Finlay Bealham and  also turned up for the festivities.

Naibiting: tension was palpable on Monday while preliminary and first round dates (and fates) determined who would play who in the Connacht Branch club rugby Youth Cup competitions.

Beauties, Beasts, and the ballboys: Youth rugby, Academy players and Supermacs staff enjoyed the draws around 9pm Monday evening.

Monivea Massive: Finlay Bealham and Kevin O’Byrne parked up with wouldbe future team-mates.

Movers and Shakers: Little Galwegian James Costelloe congratulated IRFU Youth Rugby Delegate Brian Mescal, and Connacht Youths Committee officials Johnny Brennan and Eamon Feeley on a job well done.
