About 40 turned out for the Under13, 14, 15, 17 and Under19 cup draws on Monday night, above Supermacs in the Galway City Shopping Centre.
Youths Committee secretary Johnny Brennan ran proceedings, his midnight toil Sunday evening wrestling with floating byes, seeded teams, and A and B club complements ensured Monday went without a hitch.
Aside from several club managers from around Galway, Mayo and Sligo, about a dozen youngsters, Connacht Branch staff and officials, and Academy players Kevin O’Byrne, Finlay Bealham and also turned up for the festivities.
The draw followed the New Year/January Youths Committee branch meeting.
